These beautiful handmade bracelets are from Mexico. They are macrame wooven in various colors and the charms are either gold or silver color. They are available royal blue, turquoise, red and silver with golden charms and red, silver and purple with silver color charms. Due to the artisanal work they are all different. They measure aprox. 8.5 inches long when open and 2 inches wide.
History of the Milagros:
Milagros are religious folk charms that are traditionally used for healing purposes and as vitive offerings in Mexico, the southern Unite States, other areas of Latin America, and parts of the Iberian peneinsula. They are frequently attached to altars, shrines, and sacred objects found in places of worship, and they are often purchased in churches and cathedrals, or from street vendors.
Milagros come in a variety of shapes and dimensions and are fabricated from many different materials, depending on local customs. In Spanish the word milagro means miracle.
